September 18, 2014. For the first edition of the Pompei Festival was represented “La Bohème“, Opera by Giacomo Puccini, in one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, the Teatro Grande in Pompeii.
A production set in the extraordinary excavations of Pompeii, after years of absolute inactivity, with a cast of international appeal. The choir and orchestra of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania were conducted by Maestro Alberto Veronesi. The direction of the exhibition is by Carlo Antonio De Lucia. The television direction is by Sasà Badulli.
Precisely because of the peculiar coincidence of being able to combine the prestige of a unique arena like Pompeii with the best of the Italian musical tradition, Pepito Produzioni has acquired the worldwide TV rights of the event, including the image rights of the tenor Vittorio Grigolo from Sony International.
Bohème a Pompei consists of two television projects. The editing of the Opera enhanced by a documentary teaser and a backstage on Pompeii for a total of 121′ and the didactic story of Bohème of 24′. The materials were acquired by Sky Arte and Rai Com and broadcasted during 2015, on Rai on air networks.
